A mother in her 30s was arrested by the police for wielding a weapon against a teenage boy who was acquainted with her daughter, claiming that her daughter was being subjected to gaslighting (psychological manipulation).

On the 10th, the Suseong Police Station in Daegu arrested Ms. B (38, unemployed) on charges of attempted murder for wielding a weapon against a 14-year-old boy, A.

Ms. B is accused of stabbing boy A once in the abdomen with a weapon on the street in Beomeo-dong, Suseong-gu, at around 10:40 p.m. the previous day, citing the reason that "her daughter seemed to be a victim of gaslighting."

At the time of the crime, Ms. B was intoxicated, and boy A was with Ms. B's daughter.

Boy A was transported to a nearby university hospital following a report from a bystander who witnessed the incident, and is known to be in critical condition.
