One Month After Byeollae Line Opening... Namyangju Mayor Joo Gwang-deok Conducts Morning Commute Site Inspection Namyangju Mayor Joo Gwang-deok is talking with citizens on the train he boarded on the morning of the 10th to inspect the Byeollae Line site.

Joo Gwang-deok, mayor of Namyangju City, Gyeonggi Province, conducted an on-site inspection of the Byeollae Line section of Line 8 (Byeollae Station to Jamsil Station) during the morning commute on the 10th, marking one month since its opening.


This visit followed Mayor Joo's visit to Byeollae Station and Dasan Station on the 20th of last month to inspect major facilities and listen to residents' inconveniences.


During the inspection, Mayor Joo traveled by train from Byeollae Station to Jamsil Station, taking time to listen to suggestions from citizens using the section and to check congestion levels.


Citizens expressed, "We are satisfied that commuting time from the Byeollae and Dasan areas to Gangnam has been significantly reduced, but there are not enough buses to and from the subway stations."

In response, Mayor Joo Gwang-deok said, "We are continuously reviewing the expansion and improvement of connecting buses so that more citizens can benefit from the Byeollae Line," adding, "We will listen carefully to the citizens' voices and find answers on-site."


After completing the on-site inspection, Mayor Joo stated, "Today's inspection was a great opportunity to hear the vivid voices of citizens who have used the Byeollae Line for about a month," and added, "We will continue to do our best to ensure that citizens' opinions are reflected in policies through field-centered communication administration."


Meanwhile, the demand for the Byeollae Line in Namyangju City, which opened on the 10th of last month, reaches about 30,000 passengers boarding and alighting on weekdays. It has been analyzed that citizens have a high level of satisfaction due to reduced commuting time, short train intervals, and the application of the Climate Companion Card.
