Busan Port Authority Awards Contributors to Introduction of Electronic Delivery Order at Busan Port

95% Usage Rate Just Two Months After Full Implementation

Reduces Accident Risks and Lowers Costs

Busan Port Authority (BPA, President Kang Junseok) announced on the 10th that it had awarded the President's Commendation to nine individuals who contributed to the introduction of the electronic delivery receipt system at Busan Port container terminals.

The electronic delivery receipt (e-slip) is a digital version of the traditional paper delivery receipt that was previously issued at the entrance of container terminal gates, now accessible through a mobile app. It has been fully implemented at all terminals in Busan Port since July 1 of this year.

The current usage rate has reached 95%, significantly reducing the risk of safety accidents for truck drivers and cutting costs associated with issuing paper delivery receipts.

In particular, despite the different structures and operating systems at each terminal, this success was achieved in a short period of time, making it a representative case of digital innovation at Busan Port.

BPA selected container terminal operators, cargo truck drivers, and project company officials who improved systems and provided creative ideas to expand the use of the electronic delivery receipt as award recipients for their contributions to enhancing operational efficiency at Busan Port.

Kang Junseok, President of BPA, said, "Thanks to the efforts and collaboration of stakeholders including the awardees, BPA, and terminal operators, we were able to achieve the full implementation of the electronic delivery receipt system," adding, "We will continue to listen to port users and steadily promote the digital transformation of Busan Port."
