Youth Researchers Meeting on the 10th to Discuss Strategies for Revitalizing Science and Engineering Fields
A meeting was held at Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (President: Park Jongrae) to discuss measures to revitalize the science and engineering fields.
Sangwook Park, Senior Executive, is sharing opinions on ways to revitalize science and engineering fields during a meeting with young researchers at UNIST.
The meeting was attended by Park Sangwook, Senior Secretary to the President for Science and Technology, officials from the Ministry of Science and ICT, graduate students in science and engineering, postdoctoral researchers, and other young researchers, who exchanged opinions on ways to invigorate the science and engineering sectors.
Prior to the meeting, Park Sangwook, Senior Secretary to the President for Science and Technology, visited key research facilities at UNIST, including the Secondary Battery Industry-Academia Research Center and the Green Hydrogen Research Facility.

The Secondary Battery Industry-Academia Research Center is the largest university research center of its kind in the world, equipped with advanced research facilities for secondary battery analysis, material production, and battery manufacturing.
During the subsequent meeting with young researchers, Park Sangwook, Senior Secretary to the President for Science and Technology, Hong Soonjung, Director General for Future Talent Policy at the Ministry of Science and ICT, Lee Jaeyong, Vice President for Research at UNIST, as well as over 50 graduate students and postdoctoral researchers, freely discussed the challenges faced in the research field and strategies to revitalize science and engineering.
Park Sangwook, Senior Secretary to the President for Science and Technology, emphasized, "As UNIST is a central research institution in the southeastern region, multifaceted support is necessary to ensure it continues to produce sustainable research outcomes. The government will strive to expand policy support to address the difficulties faced by young researchers."
