This year as well, on the 9th ahead of Chuseok, Gwangyang Steelworks purchased 1,841 bags of 20kg white rice (worth approximately 80 million KRW) for local neighbors, and the purchased rice will be delivered to about 100 social welfare facilities such as nursing homes and child centers that provide free meals.

Jeong Sang-gyeong, Deputy Director of Gwangyang Steelworks, said, "The continuation of such a beautiful delivery ceremony for 15 years was possible because of Gwangyang Steelworks' win-win management philosophy to work together with Gwangyang City," adding, "Going forward, Gwangyang Steelworks will continue to carry out various social contribution projects in partnership with the local community and fulfill its role as a steelworks loved by local residents."
