Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Talent Development Center conducted voice phishing education for the elders of Sinri Village.
This training program was implemented to strengthen information security management in the surrounding areas of the institute and contribute to the local community, aiming to prevent voice phishing damage among the elderly, especially around the Chuseok holiday.
The institute combined practical knowledge in information security with its accumulated experience as an educational institution to explain the mechanisms and cases of voice phishing in an easy-to-understand manner for the elderly. The training also provided guidelines for actual fraud prevention and practical case studies for swift response in the event of fraud.
Lee Hanyong, Director of the Human Resources Development Institute, stated, "The safety and happiness of local residents are among the most important factors when promoting national projects in the region," and added, "We will continue to consider our role in helping protect local seniors from intelligent digital crimes such as voice phishing."
