The Provincial Office of Education has been promoting the breakfast convenience meal project since September last year. With positive responses from students, parents, and faculty members, this year, breakfast convenience meals are being provided to 103 schools, an increase of 42 schools compared to last year.
A faculty member who attended the site said, “After providing convenience meals, the arrival time of students who come to school late has become earlier, and the percentage of students participating in the morning reading program has also increased,” adding, “I hope the budget will be expanded so that many students can receive support.”
Superintendent Kim Dae-jung stated, “According to the survey results on breakfast convenience meals in the first half of the year, an average of 89% of students, parents, and faculty members responded that they were satisfied,” and added, “In the second half of the year, we will conduct another satisfaction survey on convenience meals to provide breakfast convenience meals that reflect the demands of the field.”
