Pyeongtaek City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 10th that it will designate the two weeks from the 11th to the 25th as the 'Chuseok Holiday Emergency Response Week' and operate an emergency medical treatment system.
This emergency medical treatment system in Pyeongtaek City was established to minimize medical service gaps during the holiday period caused by the departure of residents.
The city has built an emergency medical system with six emergency medical institutions to ensure that emergency patients receive timely treatment during the holiday period, and has appointed a dedicated person in charge for each emergency medical institution on a one-to-one basis. In addition, 515 medical institutions and 218 pharmacies will operate even on holidays.
Information on medical institutions and pharmacies during the Chuseok holiday period can be accessed in real time through the 'Emergency Medical Information Portal' and the '119 Ambulance Situation Management Center,' and can also be checked on the Pyeongtaek City Hall and Public Health Center websites.
