Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation Completes Solar Power Facility at Northern Business Headquarters

Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation recently completed a solar power generation facility at the Northern Business Headquarters located in Uijeongbu.

The Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation recently completed a solar power facility at its Northern Business Headquarters located in Uijeongbu.

This solar power facility was established through a collaboration between the Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation and the Uijeongbu Natural Energy Cooperative, with a total capacity of 71.25 kW, expected to supply 93,600 kWh of electricity annually.

This marks the first step toward achieving the Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation's RE100 goal, reflecting its commitment to promoting sustainable development through renewable energy.

Hong Chun-hee, Director of Management Planning at the Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation, stated, "The completion of this solar power facility is an important step not only toward achieving RE100 but also in encouraging companies to consume and produce sustainable energy," adding, "We pledge to fulfill our social responsibility to achieve RE100 moving forward."

The foundation expects that the installation of this solar power facility will contribute to realizing carbon neutrality by reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Additionally, there are plans to install more solar power equipment at the foundation's Convergence Talent Headquarters in Hwaseong.
