KCCI and Korea-America Association to Hold Industrial Cooperation Conference on the 23rd
Keynote Presentations by Authors of "Semiconductor Samgukji" and "Battery War"

The Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) will hold a conference in November to discuss the impact of the U.S. presidential election on South Korea's semiconductor and battery industries. Bestselling authors of books such as "Semiconductor Samgukji" and "Battery War" will be invited to analyze how the U.S. election will affect Korean industries.

On the 10th, KCCI announced that it will co-host the "4th Korea-U.S. Industrial Cooperation Conference" with the Korea-U.S. Association on the 23rd at the KCCI Hall in Jung-gu, Seoul. The conference will discuss the impact of the U.S. presidential election results on the domestic semiconductor and battery industries and ways to enhance Korea-U.S. industrial cooperation.


Professor Kwon Seok-jun of Sungkyunkwan University, author of "Semiconductor Samgukji," and Lucas Bednarski, author of "Battery War," will give presentations on semiconductors and batteries, respectively.


Under the moderation of Professor Seo Jeong-geon of Kyung Hee University, senior researchers Gary Clyde Hufbauer and Peterson from the Peterson Institute for International Economics, Professor Shin Chang-hwan of Korea University, and Executive Director Ahn Ki-hyun of the Korea Semiconductor Industry Association (all semiconductor experts), as well as Jeong Kyung-yoon, head of the Sustainable Future Technology Research Division at the Korea Institute of Science and Technology, Deputy Research Fellow Hwang Kyung-in of the Korea Institute for Industrial Economics and Trade, Senior Researcher Park Jae-beom of POSCO Research Institute, and General Director Choi Jong-seo of the Battery Industry Association (all battery experts) will participate in the discussion.


Choi Joong-kyung, chairman of the Korea-U.S. Association, Park Sung-taek, 1st Vice Minister of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, and James Kim, chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce in Korea (AMCHAM), are scheduled to deliver opening and congratulatory remarks.


Chairman Choi Joong-kyung said, "Given the significant scale of domestic advanced industry investments in the U.S. and the extensive technology exchange and supply chain cooperation between the two countries, the industry’s interest in the U.S. presidential election results is very high. Through expert scenario-based forecasts, we aim to minimize uncertainties and discuss ways to maximize cooperation in advanced industries between the two countries."
