Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation (aT) launched the 'Climate Change Response Supply and Demand Task Force (TF)' on the 10th at its headquarters in Naju. This initiative aims to establish a comprehensive plan for stable agricultural production and supply and demand management in response to the climate crisis faced by the agricultural sector.

Led by Director of Supply and Demand Moon In-cheol, the TF plans to develop a comprehensive strategy to address various agricultural supply and demand issues, including ▲stable agricultural production and supply and demand management ▲advanced price and supply-demand forecasting ▲expansion of storage facilities ▲and enhancement of the self-sufficiency rate of domestic food crops such as wheat and soybeans.
aT President Hong Moon-pyo stated, "We will establish a close cooperative system with the government to become a trusted food supply management institution for the public through stable agricultural production and systematic supply and demand management."
Earlier, upon his inauguration on the 20th of last month, President Hong emphasized the need to actively prepare and respond to climate change measures that affect the nation's food supply and price management. Recently, farms have been suffering severe damage due to frequent abnormal weather such as heatwaves, droughts, and unusually low temperatures during the flowering period, leading to reduced production.
