Selection of Six Excellent Safety Management Businesses in Northern Gyeonggi Region Scheduled
The Northern Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters will announce the "2024 Public Notice of Scheduled Recognition for Excellent Safety Management in Multi-use Facilities" for 20 days from the 10th to the 29th on the Gyeonggi-do public bulletin and the Northern Fire and Disaster Headquarters website.
The "Excellent Safety Management in Multi-use Facilities Selection System" is operated under the Special Act on the Safety Management of Multi-use Facilities to promote pride in safety management and encourage voluntary fire safety management in multi-use facilities.
The selection criteria require no violations of fire, building, electrical, or gas-related laws and no fire incidents in the past three years. Additionally, the facility must have established its own plan to conduct regular fire education and training for employees and maintain related records for the past three years.
The Northern Fire and Disaster Headquarters selected six facilities as scheduled candidates for excellent safety management recognition after verifying eligibility among eight applicants who voluntarily applied through 11 fire stations in northern Gyeonggi-do over the past four months (May to August).
The scheduled candidates are △ Starbucks Hwajeong Branch (Goyang) △ VIPS Ilsan Branch (Ilsan) △ CGV Paju Yadang (Paju) △ Donkkaseu Club Yangju Main Branch (Yangju) △ Luxury Living Tel (Dongducheon) △ Almex Co., Ltd. (Yeoncheon), totaling six locations.
After the scheduled announcement period ends, a review meeting involving external committee members will be held in early October to finalize the recognized facilities for transparent and fair selection.
Subsequently, the business owners of the finally selected facilities will be notified of their eligibility, and the excellent facilities will be publicly announced on "Firefighting Day" on November 9.
The finally selected excellent facilities will receive awards and benefits such as exemption from fire safety inspections and fire safety education for two years after the announcement, as well as the attachment of an excellent safety management facility mark.
Notably, since May 30 of this year, a search service has been launched that displays the information "Certified Excellent Safety Management Facility by the National Fire Agency" during internet searches, enhancing the promotion effect of certification information.
The scheduled recognition announcement can be checked on the Northern Fire and Disaster Headquarters website, and if there are any objections to the content, they can be submitted by email or in writing to the head of the Northern Fire and Disaster Headquarters by the 29th.
