Suspected of Facilitating Prostitution 11 Times Involving Minor Females
Continued Prostitution Facilitation During Investigation...Attempted Testimony Manipulation
A man in his 40s who illegally filmed underage females and others to produce and distribute sexual exploitation materials and facilitated group prostitution has been brought to trial while in custody.
According to the legal community on the 10th, the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office's Women and Children Crime Investigation Division 1 (Chief Prosecutor Kim Ji-hye) indicted a man in his 40s, identified as A, on the 6th on charges including violation of the Juvenile Sex Protection Act (facilitating prostitution, producing and distributing sexual exploitation materials, coercion, sexual exploitation through communication, and purchasing sex).
A is accused of recruiting men for prostitution through social networking services (SNS) from January to April 2023 and facilitating group prostitution for women 11 times. Among the women were two minors. During this process, A is also charged with secretly filming minors to produce and distribute sexual exploitation materials.

After the prosecution received the case of A, whose arrest warrants were rejected three times by the court, and conducted supplementary investigations, it was revealed that A created prostitution advertisements using secretly filmed photos of minors' bodies and distributed them to an unspecified number of men, and transmitted sexual exploitation materials filmed during group prostitution to others. The prosecution also seized tools used in the group prostitution crimes from A's vehicle, including adult products, female sex toys, and erectile dysfunction medications.
Furthermore, after detecting signs that A contacted victims and accomplices to manipulate their testimonies and filing a fourth arrest warrant, A was finally detained. In addition, the prosecution indicted B, who facilitated group prostitution with A, and four men who purchased sex without detention.
The prosecution stated, "We appointed public defenders and provided psychological treatment and other support for victims who are socially vulnerable," and added, "We will continue to respond strictly with a zero-tolerance policy toward sex crimes against minors."
