Until the 10th of next month... Nationwide Participation Possible
Hwaseong City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 10th that it will hold the '2024 Hwaseong City Low Birthrate Overcoming Policy Proposal Contest' to address the low birthrate issue.
This contest, organized to raise awareness about the low birthrate problem and foster a childbirth-friendly atmosphere, will run until the 10th of next month. Anyone nationwide can participate.
The contest topics include various policy proposals to overcome the low birthrate, such as ▲childbirth ▲childcare ▲caregiving ▲work-family balance. The city plans to select 35 outstanding works through evaluation in October. The evaluation criteria include planning ability, relevance, creativity, and policy applicability. The city will award the selected proposals with ▲Grand Prize (1 person) 2 million KRW ▲Excellence Prize (1 person) 1 million KRW ▲Encouragement Prize (3 people) 500,000 KRW ▲Participation Prize (30 people) 50,000 KRW.
Jung Myung-geun, Mayor of Hwaseong City, said, "Through this contest, we will reflect the diverse opinions of citizens to create effective policies to overcome the low birthrate."
