Hosted by Seodaemun-gu, the University Student Central Planning Group oversees the overall event management, including program planning, recruiting booth operators, and stage performers. More than 50 universities’ talented students, clubs, and international student communities participate.

Performances by a choir and dance team composed of global students, school bands, and a congratulatory stage by rapper Paloalto will add enjoyment for the audience.

On the 28th, the Sinchon Film Festival screening videos made by students, a university student dance battle, and a DJ party featuring a joint performance by Yonsei University’s electronic music DJ club “E.A.T” and famous DJs will take place. From 8 p.m., a “Street Cheer Festival with Yonsei University Cheerleaders” will also be held, allowing attendees to enjoy university cheer culture.

On the 29th, the “Young Chef Cooking Competition” will be held. Chef Yeo Kyung-rae will serve as the head judge to evaluate the students showcasing their skills. After the cooking contest, a “Wish Fulfillment Rice Cake Pounding” event will take place, which can be joined on-site after registration. The finals of the e-sports tournament “LOL in Sinchon” will be broadcast live on the festival’s main stage. The closing ceremony will feature performances by the dance battle winning team, university student performance groups, and invited singer Triple S.

From 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on the weekend of the 28th and 29th, various booths will operate, including exhibitions and promotions by foreign embassies in Korea, traditional costume experiences, university promotions, flea markets by young merchants, and one-day classes. Food booths involving embassies, international students, and local merchant associations will offer a variety of dishes from around the world.

Mayor Lee Seongheon said, “Seodaemun-gu is a university city and youth city with the largest number of nine universities among Seoul’s autonomous districts. We look forward to the interest and participation of many people in this global youth cultural exchange event held with Sinchon as a huge campus.”
