First PC Game Distribution Partner 'SIE'
Four Titles Including Horizon Forbidden West Available
NCSoft announced on the 10th that its online game platform, ‘PURPLE,’ will start distributing PC game titles and expand its service as an integrated game platform.
PURPLE is a cross-play platform developed by NCSoft in 2019. With this business expansion, it will be reborn as an integrated game platform where users can enjoy PC titles from various global partners. Starting from 4 PM today, users can play new PC games on PURPLE alongside NCSoft games.
PURPLE’s first PC game distribution partner is Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE). Domestic users can enjoy PC versions of SIE’s flagship titles such as Horizon Forbidden West, Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart on PURPLE.
Starting with Horizon Forbidden West today, four SIE titles will be sequentially released every week on the PURPLE store, all of which will be playable exclusively in Korea.
This lineup is the first collaborative result between the two companies following the announcement of a strategic partnership for global business cooperation with SIE in November 2023. NCSoft is preparing to offer various titles on PURPLE. Additional title lineups and release schedules will be announced later.
NCSoft will run promotions for the four SIE game titles released on PURPLE. Users can purchase and play the new titles at discounts of up to 40%.
There will also be a ‘PURPLE Store Game Review Challenge’ event. Participation is completed by writing a review on the detailed page of each of the four new titles and then verifying it on the community board. Through a drawing, 20 users selected per game will receive a 30,000 KRW Naver Pay points gift.
