Dongmyung University Launches Local Startup School & Local Business Planner Training Program

The Tongmyong University Local Content Specialized University Project Group is conducting the 'Local Startup School' and 'Local Business Planner Training' programs to provide new opportunities for those aspiring to start their own businesses.

The Local Startup School is a project that helps participants develop and commercialize local resources based on their ideas.

The Local Startup School has been in progress since August 31 and will continue until the end of September, targeting students participating in the Tongmyong University Department of Entrepreneurship's startup club. Along with theoretical education, participants will experience various real-life startup processes such as mentoring, idea discovery, mock startups, and startup exhibitions.

The Local Business Planner Training program will be held every Saturday for a total of eight sessions starting from September 14. It comprehensively covers essential areas for local businesses, including basic understanding of entrepreneurship, analysis of surrounding and related commercial districts, selection of business items, and local online and offline marketing. In addition to theoretical education, practical activities such as production and installation are also provided.

The Tongmyong University Local Content Specialized University Project Group, which provides customized education for local startups, plans to continue offering networking opportunities so that participants can actually run local businesses even after completing the program.

Project Group Director Noh Seongyeo said, "We expect that this program will contribute to nurturing prospective local entrepreneurs in the region."
