The city will organize and operate 26 task forces across seven areas?safety, traffic, convenience, quarantine, prices, sharing, and public service discipline?from the 14th to the 18th. During this period, 379 personnel will be on emergency duty.
Inspection teams will monitor 42 disaster-vulnerable facilities, including 30 traditional markets and 12 multi-use facilities, by conducting on-site safety checks even during the holiday.
A road situation room will also be operated to inspect road facilities and streetlights, and to carry out emergency repairs if any issues arise.
In the traffic sector, 21 city bus routes will be concentrated during the times when visitors to ancestral graves and returning travelers are moving. Additionally, 158 school and public parking lots (10,954 spaces) will be opened free of charge to minimize parking inconvenience.
For convenience, a comprehensive cleaning situation room and mobile cleaning teams will patrol areas vulnerable to household waste and promptly handle cleaning complaints.
In the quarantine sector, emergency medical situation rooms will be set up and operated at the health centers in Sujeong, Jungwon, and Bundang districts. Information on hospitals and clinics available during the holiday, six public late-night pharmacies open until 1 a.m. daily, and emergency medical institutions will be provided. Surveillance will also be conducted for waterborne and foodborne infectious diseases.
Regarding prices, the city will investigate the prices of major seasonal products for Chuseok and strengthen food safety management by inspecting the origin labeling of agricultural, livestock, and seafood products.
In the sharing sector, donated goods collected through 54 Chuseok Love Sharing Support Centers established in the city, district, and neighborhood offices will be delivered to low-income families, creating a warm holiday atmosphere that supports neighbors in need.
The city will provide detailed information about the comprehensive Chuseok holiday plan?including on-duty hospitals and pharmacies, free parking lots, household waste collection days, and leisure facilities?on the Seongnam City Hall website.
A Seongnam City official stated, “We will devote all efforts to implementing the comprehensive holiday plan in each sector so that citizens can have a safe and comfortable holiday.”
