Yeongdeungpo-gu (District Mayor Choi Ho-kwon) announced that it will hold a commemorative concert at Yeongdeungpo Art Hall on September 11th to celebrate the 25th Social Welfare Day.

Under the theme "LIVE ON YDP: Yeongdeungpo, Singing Welfare," this concert is hosted by the district and organized by the Yeongdeungpo-gu Social Welfare Council.

The district holds an annual Social Welfare Day commemorative event to raise awareness of social welfare and to express gratitude for the hard work of workers who have contributed to the development of local social welfare. This year, a special commemorative concert will be held to enjoy healing together with workers and local residents.

The concert will take place on September 11th at 3 p.m. in the main auditorium of Yeongdeungpo Art Hall, where about 500 people, including workers from approximately 90 social welfare facilities in the area and local residents, will gather in one place.

The concert will be divided into two parts. In the first part, an award ceremony will be held to present awards to 38 social welfare workers who have contributed to the revitalization of local social welfare. In the second part, under the theme "LIVE ON YDP: Singing Yeongdeungpo Welfare," the concert for local social welfare workers will begin. Performers in the second part include ▲singer Jung Dong-hwa ▲Sonya ▲crossover singer Jin Jeong-hoon ▲Ensemble Kkunnam Kkun-nyeo, composed of musical actors ▲and the No Ordinary K-pop performance team, promising a spectacular stage.

On the same day, on the second floor exhibition hall of Yeongdeungpo Art Hall, an "ESG (Eusseuk) Bazaar" will be held to commemorate Social Welfare Day, sponsored by Lotte Home Shopping. About 600 items such as blankets, trekking shoes, and bamboo mats will be sold at affordable prices, and the proceeds will be used to support welfare projects for underprivileged groups.

The district continues to promote projects to create a work environment where work and rest coexist to improve the treatment of social welfare facility workers. This year, the district plans to support welfare points of 200,000 KRW per person annually, regardless of regular or non-regular status, for a total of 772 workers at 73 social welfare facilities in the area, and also plans workshops for the recharging of social welfare workers who are physically and mentally exhausted.
