World Renowned Scholars Including AI Father and Humonomics Founder to Visit Gyeonggi... Forum Held October 24-25 Gyeonggi-do's 'Gyeonggi Global Great Transformation Forum' Information Poster

Gyeonggi Province will hold the 'Gyeonggi Global Grand Transformation Forum (GGGTF)' to seek solutions with world-renowned scholars and global business leaders on the theme of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Humanomics.

Gyeonggi Province announced on the 10th that, similar to the Davos Forum, it will hold an annual forum with different themes each year, inviting world-renowned scholars and famous figures to reflect on the present and prepare for the future, and will hold the first Gyeonggi Global Grand Transformation Forum this year.

The forum will be held over two days, October 24-25, at KINTEX in Goyang, with about 40 global speakers from 15 countries, central and local government officials, representatives from embassies in Korea, international organizations, and global business leaders attending.

This year, the theme is ‘Artificial Intelligence and Humanomics (AIHumanomics),’ addressing topics such as ▲Opportunity Economy in the AI Era ▲Climate Economy ▲Care Economy ▲Peace Economy.

The forum will feature world-renowned scholars as key speakers, including Stuart Russell, a computer science professor at UC Berkeley known as the ‘Father of AI,’ and Bart J. Wilson, an economics and law professor at Chapman University who defined and developed the concept and principles of Humanomics.

Stuart Russell is famous as the author of ‘Artificial Intelligence: A Modern Approach,’ known as the ‘AI textbook.’ This book is used as a computer science textbook in over 1,500 universities across 135 countries. Bart J. Wilson coined the term Humanomics around 2010, meaning ‘humanities are needed in economics.’

Humanomics is a political philosophy proposed as an alternative to overcome the blind spots of traditional economics, aiming to address issues such as social inequality and polarization caused by quantitative growth strategies by realizing quality of life, enhancement of individual capabilities, and happiness.

Earlier, Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dong-yeon presented ‘People-Centered Economy (Humanomics)’ as a core strategy of provincial administration in his policy speech to the Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly in February, and announced key tasks for the second half of his term based on Humanomics on the 14th of last month.

Gyeonggi Province expects this forum to imprint the image of Gyeonggi as a leader in human-centered AI in the international community, present a sustainable future vision, and serve as an important stepping stone for establishing its role as a global leader and enhancing the image of Gyeonggi Province.

Pre-registration for participation in this forum can be completed by visiting the official website (www.3gtf.com) by October 18.
