Autonomous Learning Space 'Mapo Central Library Space' Opens Wide!

Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, attended the 'Space Day' event held on the afternoon of the 9th at the 'Mapo Central Library Space.'

The 'Mapo Central Library Space' is a Mapo-style autonomous learning space created on the first floor of Mapo Central Library, consisting of 100 reading seats and a resting area.

About 100 people, including Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, local school principals, students, and residents, gathered to celebrate the establishment of the space.

Kim Ga-eul, a student at Sangam Middle School and chairperson of the Mapo District Youth Participation Committee who participated in the event, said, "I am very happy that a safe and comfortable space for studying and resting has been created," and added, "I sincerely thank you for reflecting the voices of youth who need learning spaces in policy."

On this day, Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, stated, "A good learning space plays an important role in youth education, following good teachers and good parents, to the extent that it can be called the 'third teacher.' Mapo District will do its best to create a community where it is good to raise children and where children can freely spread their wings toward their dreams."

The 'Mapo Central Library Space' will be officially available for use starting September 10.
