Emart and Traders Wholesale Club announced on the 10th that they will offer discounts on hand-carry gift sets with high demand ahead of the Chuseok holiday. Hand-carry refers to gift sets that are purchased in small quantities and are convenient to deliver personally.

First, Emart will offer up to 50% discounts on health functional foods, which are the most sought-after hand-carry gifts. Health functional sets are very popular, with over 42,000 units sold in just one day before this year’s Lunar New Year (February 9).

Representative products include the 'Hurum Cheonnyeon Sansam Bae-yanggeun Set (75㎖×14 bottles)', which is sold at 65,000 KRW with a buy-one-get-one-free offer, and the 'Hurum Heuksam Jin-aek Zero (50㎖×24 packs)', available at a 50% discount for 19,900 KRW when paid with a promotional card. Additionally, 'Jung Kwan Jang Hongsam Jinbon (40㎖×20 packs)' and 'Jung Kwan Jang Hongsam Jin Hwang (50㎖×20 packs)' are offered at 25% discounts when paid with a promotional card, priced at 36,750 KRW and 75,000 KRW respectively.

Fruit sets, which can be enjoyed as ancestral rites offerings or family snacks during the holiday, are also discounted. The 'Shine Muscat 3-piece set', selected for 15 Brix sweetness, is sold at 49,980 KRW with a 30% discount when paid with a promotional card. The 'Peacock Shine Muscat Mixed Set', composed of popular fruits such as Shine Muscat, apple mango, apple, and pear, is also available at 111,930 KRW with a 30% discount when paid with a promotional card.

In addition, 'Sweetness-selected apples (14 pieces)' are offered at 39,900 KRW with a 30% discount when paid with a promotional card, and 'Best Wish Sangju Dried Persimmons (30 pieces)' are available at 38,870 KRW with a 35% discount.

Alcoholic beverages are also included in the discounts. Emart offers 25 types of cost-effective wine sets such as 'Domaine Olivier Benoit Set (France, 750㎖ 2 bottles)' and 'Mimbre Gran Cabernet Sauvignon + Carmenere (Chile, 750㎖ 2 bottles)' at a 50% discount when purchasing two or more sets. Traders has launched the 'Johnnie Walker Sherry 15 Years (UK, 700㎖)' for the first time in Korea, preparing 5,000 bottles priced at 87,800 KRW. Also available are 'Johnnie Walker Green (UK, 700㎖)' at 76,800 KRW and 'Ballantine’s 17 Years (UK, 700㎖)' at 137,800 KRW.
