At 2:23 p.m. on the 9th, a fire broke out at a warehouse in the agricultural wholesale market located in Palyong-dong, Uichang-gu, Changwon-si, Gyeongsangnam-do.
According to the Changwon Fire Department, firefighters were dispatched after receiving a report from a site official and managed to bring the main fire under control by 3:10 p.m.
No casualties have been reported so far.
The fire authorities are using heavy equipment to break the sandwich panel structure of the warehouse roof in order to find and extinguish hidden embers between the panels.
Based on the statement from the person who reported the fire, which indicated that the fire started from a pallet placed near the outer wall of the warehouse and then spread to the surrounding area, the authorities plan to investigate the exact cause of the fire and the extent of the damage after the fire is fully extinguished.
