President Yoon Suk-yeol presented the appointment letter to Park Jong-jun, the new head of the Security Office, on the 9th.


On the same day, President Yoon handed the appointment letter to Director Park at the Freedom Hall of the Yongsan Presidential Office in the afternoon.


He gave a bouquet to Director Park's spouse and said, "Please take good care."


After taking a commemorative photo with Director Park and his spouse, President Yoon headed to the reception room.


Attending the appointment ceremony were Chief Secretary Jeong Jin-seok, Policy Chief Seong Tae-yoon, National Security Office Chief Shin Won-sik, and other aides.


Earlier, Chief Secretary Jeong, while announcing the personnel appointment in the morning, said about Director Park, "Based on his extensive experience in security duties and outstanding work performance, I believe he is the right person to not only focus on the fundamental mission of ensuring the absolute safety of the protected individuals in response to evolving security threats but also contribute to establishing an advanced security system."
