Government Delegations from Over 90 Countries Attend
Model Exhibition and Battlefield Command VR Demonstration
HD Hyundai will showcase its AI-based unmanned vessel technology at the '2024 High-Level Meeting on the Responsible Military Use of Artificial Intelligence' (hereinafter '2024 REAIM High-Level Meeting'), which involves participation from 90 countries worldwide, demonstrating the excellence of K-vessels to the world.
HD Hyundai announced on the day that it will participate in this event held for two days from the 9th at Lotte Hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul. Co-hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of National Defense of Korea, the event will be attended by delegations from over 90 countries, including foreign and defense ministers and vice ministers from 34 countries.
HD Hyundai will set up a main exhibition booth to display a model of the unmanned surface vessel (USV) 'TENEBRIS' (Latin for 'darkness'), jointly developed with Palantir. A virtual reality (VR) video of the future battlefield command program centered on TENEBRIS will also be demonstrated.

The name TENEBRIS signifies conducting reconnaissance missions stealthily near enemy lines. It features a light displacement of 14 tons, a length of 17 meters, high-performance hardware (hull), and advanced AI, with development targeted for completion in 2026. HD Hyundai is applying world-class advanced AI technology by integrating autonomous navigation, vessel integrated management systems, and Palantir's AI platform for 'AI-based Mission Autonomy' in TENEBRIS.
HD Hyundai first unveiled TENEBRIS at the AI EXPO held in Washington D.C., USA, last May. It received high praise from key security and military decision-makers from major countries including the Five Eyes nations, as well as personnel from US defense and AI companies and institutions who visited the event.

HD Hyundai, Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI), and the Agency for Defense Development (ADD), leading domestic defense companies and institutions, will each manage one of the three main exhibition booths, introducing core technologies of unmanned systems for maritime, aerial, and land domains respectively.
An HD Hyundai official said, "We are very honored to introduce future unmanned vessel technology in the K-vessel sector to high-ranking foreign and defense officials visiting from around the world," adding, "Based on HD Hyundai Heavy Industries' accumulated top-level technology and know-how in the vessel sector, we will continue to advance our capabilities in unmanned vessel technology."
