The Korea Economic Association announced that on the 9th, Chairman Ryu Jin and about 20 executives and employees visited 'Thomas's House,' a free meal service center in Yeongdeungpo-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, to serve meals as volunteers.
Established in 1993, Thomas's House is a free meal service center that provides lunch to about 350 elderly people living alone and homeless individuals in nearby shantytowns. It operates without government support or fixed sponsorships, relying on donations from organizations and individuals.
A representative of the Korea Economic Association said, "In celebration of the Chuseok holiday and the upcoming first anniversary of the Korea Economic Association on the 18th, our executives and employees came together to visit marginalized neighbors. We will continue to dedicate ourselves to social contribution activities so that warm kindness can spread throughout our society."
