Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority (President Park Seong-hyun, YGPA) announced that Yeosu and Gwangyang ports will operate normally during the five-day Chuseok holiday period starting on the 14th.

According to this plan, an emergency standby system will be operated during the holiday period, and smooth port services such as vessel arrivals and departures will be supported to minimize inconvenience to port users.
In addition, in response to the recent increase in COVID-19 cases during the summer, COVID-19 prevention measures at the Yeosu Passenger Terminal will be strengthened, and the frequency of port patrols and inspections will be increased to prevent security incidents at the docks, maintaining a thorough port security posture.
Most docks at Yeosu and Gwangyang ports will operate normally throughout the holiday period, with only some docks, such as the container dock, observing a holiday on Chuseok day (the 17th) according to their work schedules.
