Pushing for B-Heritage Cultural Content Branding
The Dong-A University History Archives (Director: Kim Kisoo) is holding an exhibition titled "Dong-A's Golden Days," planned and organized by the student supporters group D-Archi, until the 22nd.
This special exhibition is the first event of the "1st D-Archi: History Archives Supporters" program, commemorating Dong-A University's selection as a Glocal University in 2024.
With its selection as a Glocal University, Dong-A University, together with Busan Metropolitan City and Dongseo University, plans to promote the B-Heritage cultural content branding project to enhance global recognition.
The "Dong-A's Golden Days" exhibition features records from 1946 to 1976 related to Dong-A University, carefully selected by the student supporters for their historical interest.
Based on three themes?"Golden Days of Each Campus," "Unique University Events," and "Everything About the First President"?the exhibition displays graduation albums, panoramic views of the university, student recruitment announcements, and personal belongings of the inaugural president, Dr. Seokdang Jeong Jaehwan.
Since May, D-Archi has conducted research on newspaper articles and artifacts that provide a glimpse into Dong-A University's history, producing card news and videos that resonate with the MZ Generation. This exhibition is particularly noteworthy for the active and leading participation of students in its preparation and execution.
Director Kim stated, "It is highly meaningful that students are directly involved in exploring and reinterpreting the university's history," adding, "The Dong-A University History Archives will continue to present diverse and enjoyable exhibitions that encompass the past, present, and future."
Noh Gyumin, a fourth-year student in the Department of Archaeology and Art History and a member of the first D-Archi group, shared, "It was a unique experience to newly explore the school's history and visualize it through video together with my teammates. I would highly recommend the first D-Archi program to any juniors interested in participating."
This exhibition is being held in the lobby on the first floor of the Seokdang Museum at Dong-A University and is open for viewing from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM, except on Mondays and public holidays. For more information, please visit the Seokdang Museum website or contact them by phone.
