Busan City to Host '2024 Korea Marine Mobility and Safety Expo'

BEXCO from the 10th to 12th, co-hosted by Busan City and the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries... Expanding Themes to Maritime Safety and Marine Mobility

Busan City (Mayor Park Hyungjoon) will co-host the '2024 Korea Ocean Mobility and Safety Expo' with the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries from the 10th to the 12th for three days at BEXCO Exhibition Hall 1.

The 'Ocean Safety Expo,' which has been held since 2015 to promote nationwide awareness of marine safety, will expand its theme this year to include not only marine safety but also ocean mobility, in order to foster and support the future high-value-added ocean mobility industry.

This year, under the theme of ocean mobility and safety, the event will feature a variety of programs including: ▲Ocean Mobility and Safety & Accident Prevention Promotion Exhibition ▲Ocean Mobility and Safety Technology and Equipment Industry Exhibition ▲Business Meetings ▲Marine Job Promotion Hall ▲Marine Experience Programs and more.

In particular, as the city was officially designated as a 'Next-Generation Ocean Mobility Global Innovation Zone' by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups in April, a 'Joint Pavilion for Ocean Mobility Innovation Zone' will be set up and operated at this exhibition, focusing on Busan Technopark and major companies participating in the innovation zone project.

The opening ceremony will be held on the first day of the event, the 10th, at 2 p.m., with key figures from the ocean mobility and marine safety sectors in attendance.
