"Get Your Groceries and Dementia Screening: Goryeong County Holds Dementia Screening on Every Market Day"

Goryeong County, North Gyeongsang Province (Governor Lee Namcheol), has been conducting dementia cognitive screening tests for local residents visiting the market during the weekday market days throughout September, starting from the 4th.

This initiative, in collaboration with the Geumbitmasil Eoullim Center operated by the Village Management Social Cooperative, aims to provide dementia cognitive screening tests and a promotional campaign for local residents. The goal is to contribute to emotional stability and improved quality of life through dementia prevention and cognitive screening tests.

Goryeong County is conducting "Dementia Screening Tests Held on Market Days."

The Dementia Safety Center visits senior centers and village halls in each village every year to conduct dementia cognitive screening tests. However, there have been operational challenges due to limited accessibility from remote areas and activity restrictions. To encourage participation from market vendors and local residents who use traditional markets and have never received dementia cognitive screening, the tests are now being conducted on market days.

Dementia screening is available to all local residents regardless of age.
