240 Million Invested to Promote Environmental Improvement and Leisure Space Development
Osan City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 9th that it will invest a total of 245.6 million KRW to promote eight projects this year to improve the welfare of residents around the power plant.
The power plant surrounding area support project is aimed at promoting power source development and ensuring the smooth operation of the power plant by enhancing residents' understanding of the electric power business. The main focus is on improving the living environment and welfare of residents within a 5 km radius of the power plant.
The projects to be promoted this time include ▲environmental improvement of the citizen promenade ▲function reinforcement of the comprehensive social welfare center ▲environmental improvement of senior citizen centers ▲creation of leisure spaces along Osancheon Stream ▲installation of exercise equipment and replacement of pavilions for local residents in Daewon-dong ▲installation of a wireless disaster prevention broadcasting system in Sema-dong ▲environmental improvement of senior citizen center facilities in Chopyeong-dong ▲and rental of event supplies for residents in Chopyeong-dong.
Among these, the environmental improvement of the citizen promenade, function reinforcement of the comprehensive social welfare center, installation of exercise equipment and pavilion replacement in Daewon-dong, and installation of the wireless disaster prevention broadcasting system in Sema-dong have been completed, and the remaining four projects, including the environmental improvement of senior citizen centers, are scheduled to be carried out within the year.
The city plans to hold a public contest around October this year to select projects for next year's support program.
