Selected in Ministry of Agriculture Public Contest
On the 9th, Anseong City in Gyeonggi Province announced that it has been selected for the '2025 Agricultural Products Production Area Distribution Center (APC) Support Project,' a public contest organized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, in collaboration with Anseong Horticultural Agricultural Cooperative.
The city explained that it was the only one selected in Gyeonggi Province among the 17 nationwide applicants for this contest.
The city plans to invest the national funds secured through this selection into renovating the cold storage and related facilities of the Agricultural Products Production Area Distribution Center, which is operated on consignment by Anseong Horticultural Agricultural Cooperative. In particular, through this project, the city aims to establish a stable distribution business foundation for agricultural products, diversify the product range beyond pears, and utilize the APC as an advanced base for agricultural product exports.
Lee Sang-in, director of the Anseong Agricultural Technology Center, said, "Taking this project selection as an opportunity, we will expand exports of local agricultural products, establish a stable distribution business foundation, and contribute to increasing farmers' income."
