Gyeongnam Jangbaehyeop Successfully Concludes National Disabled Badminton Tournament

The Gyeongsangnam-do Disabled Badminton Association successfully held the 10th Gyeongsangnam-do Disabled Badminton Association President's National Disabled Badminton Competition and the 2024 Gyeongnam Disabled Badminton Harmony Competition at the Changwon Football Center Gymnasium on the 7th.

This event, held in anticipation of the 44th National Para Games to be hosted in Gimhae, Gyeongnam from October 25 to October 30, is a meaningful competition aimed at promoting disabled sports and fostering social integration.


Additionally, the tournament served as a preliminary match for athletes from across the country, providing them an opportunity to fully showcase the skills they have honed over time.


More than 215 participants, including athletes with and without disabilities, guardians, and volunteers from all over the country, took part in this festival of unity, engaging in fierce competition and camaraderie.


Park Hyungin, President of the Gyeongsangnam-do Disabled Badminton Association, stated in his opening remarks, "Today, we have gathered to overcome the barriers of inconvenience and to stand together in the ranks of equality and participation," and added, "I hope this will be a beautiful gathering that strengthens harmony and friendship."


Park Wansoo, Governor of Gyeongnam, conveyed his congratulations and encouragement, saying, "I hope this competition will serve as an opportunity to further expand the base of disabled badminton and allow more people to find health and joy through this sport."
