Dongmyung University to Offer Special Scholarships for 2025 Freshmen

TU Talent Development Special Scholarship: 1 Million KRW per Person

Do-ing Design Scholarship: Up to 3 Million KRW per Person

Tongmyong University (President: Jeon Ho-hwan) has announced that it will provide the TU Talent Development Special Scholarship and the Do-ing Design Scholarship to freshmen entering in the 2025 academic year, in order to strengthen support for challenge, experience, and practice-based Do-ing education.

The TU Talent Development Special Scholarship is a special scholarship for freshmen, awarded to those who are admitted for the first time within the regular and early admission quotas. Each recipient will receive a 1,000,000 KRW deduction from their tuition bill. Lifelong learner scholarships, talent scholarships, and scholarships for employed students are excluded. If a student is eligible for multiple scholarships, such as the overall entrance valedictorian scholarship, the total amount will be applied within the tuition limit.

The Do-ing Design Scholarship, also known as the "Self-Directed Future Design Scholarship," is provided to all freshmen. For the College of ICT Convergence and the College of Business, each student will receive 3,000,000 KRW (to be used within two years). For the College of Health, Welfare and Education, the College of Companion Animals, the College of Beauty Arts, the College of Architectural Design, the College of Media, and the Do-ing College, each student will receive 1,000,000 KRW (to be used within one year). However, students of the College of Future Convergence, BIC, employed students, and international students are excluded.

This scholarship is an additional "living expense scholarship for self-development," separate from tuition reduction scholarships, and can be used not only for overseas cultural exploration, overseas language training, participation in competitions or contests, and support for employment and entrepreneurship activities, but also for exam fees for obtaining certifications.

Tongmyong University has recently achieved tangible results from its challenge, experience, and practice-based Do-ing education, ranking 34th in the world in the leadership category of the WURI (World University Rankings for Innovation), which evaluates "innovation performance."

For the 2025 academic year, Tongmyong University will establish a new Department of Leisure and Horse Riding and will recruit 1,392 students for the regular admission quota from the 9th to the 13th. Multiple applications are allowed for all early admission tracks. Except for the Department of Nursing, the minimum CSAT (College Scholastic Ability Test) score requirement does not apply to any admission unit.
