Silla University College of Aviation Successfully Concludes the 3rd Silla Aviation Camp Students participating in the 3rd Silla Aviation Camp 2024.

On the 6th, the College of Aviation at Shilla University organized a program attended by about 150 high school students from across the country who are interested in aviation. The program included a welcome speech by Dean Shin Goonjae, an introduction to the College of Aviation, a special lecture by an industry expert, a facilities tour, hands-on experience by major, a student competition, and a closing ceremony, providing valuable guidance for students planning their future careers.

The hands-on programs prepared by each department attracted great interest and enthusiasm from the participating students. These included flight practice using a flight simulator from the Department of Aeronautical Operation, maintenance practice using LearJet25 and Cessna 172 aircraft from the Department of Aeronautical Maintenance, in-flight service and safety experience in a B737 Mockup from the Department of Air Service, VRI simulation experience from the Department of Air Traffic Management, and air logistics transportation contract practice and a logistics quiz event from the Department of Air Logistics.

This camp, held as part of the Local University Revitalization Project, was especially meaningful as students from the College of Aviation participated from the planning to the operation stages.

Oh Yuseung, a student from the Department of Aeronautical Maintenance who participated as a supporter, said, "It was even more meaningful because we based everything from making event souvenirs to running the hands-on sessions on our specialized knowledge. Remembering my own high school days when I was unsure about my future, I prepared with my colleagues hoping to help the students as much as possible, and I feel very satisfied with the outcome."

Dean Shin Goonjae of Shilla University's College of Aviation stated, "It is even more meaningful to hold the aviation camp at a time when the region is showing great interest in nurturing aviation talent, especially with the opening of the Gadeokdo New Airport. We will continue to organize various events to support young people aspiring to pursue careers in aviation."

In preparation for the opening of Gadeok New Airport, Shilla University is operating the Department of Aeronautical Operation, Department of Aeronautical Maintenance, Department of Air Service, and Department of Air Traffic and Logistics, striving to nurture aviation professionals who are competitive on the global stage.
