'Kwangwoon University and KETI to Move into Pangyo Global Biz Center' Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation

Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation (GH) has successfully attracted Kwangwoon University and the Korea Electronics Technology Institute (KETI) to the Pangyo Global Business Center.

The Global Business Center, developed and supplied by GH, is the largest knowledge industry center in the Second Pangyo area. GH has been promoting the attraction of major universities in the metropolitan area and research institutes in advanced industrial fields to create an industry-academia-research cluster.

Kwangwoon University will establish the "Kwangwoon Pangyo Robot Academy" in a 1,300㎡ space to build educational infrastructure for training specialized personnel in the robotics field and create an exchange space where workers, researchers, and department majors in advanced robotics industries can collaborate. Additionally, it will promote contract departments and executive management programs (AMP) in robotics, artificial intelligence (AI), and defense industry convergence fields.

The Korea Electronics Technology Institute will operate an online and offline corporate cooperation platform in a 11,500㎡ space with over 300 specialized researchers to actively support technological innovation and commercialization for companies in AI, metaverse, system semiconductors, and intelligent robotics sectors.

Kim Se-yong, president of GH, stated, "By attracting Kwangwoon University and the Korea Electronics Technology Institute, the Pangyo Global Business Center will function as a key space in the Second Pangyo Techno Valley, encompassing companies, universities, and research institutes in advanced industrial fields."
