Price Countermeasure Situation Room Operates to Monitor and Manage Holiday Seasonal Goods Prices, Conducting Price Inspections
Dobong-gu (District Mayor Oh Eon-seok) will operate an emergency medical response team during the upcoming Chuseok holiday to minimize residents' inconvenience caused by medical service gaps. Additionally, an emergency medical team will be in place to treat emergency patients.
The district announced that the "2024 Chuseok Comprehensive Plan" will be implemented from September 13 to September 19. Previously, the district prepared measures in five areas?livelihood, transportation, daily life, safety, and public service?to ensure a safe and comfortable holiday for residents.
Above all, the district plans to thoroughly prepare for medical service gaps to ensure residents' safety during this period.
The district health center will operate the emergency medical response team from September 14 to 18. On September 15, 17, and 18, the emergency medical team will provide treatment for emergency patients. Hanil Hospital (308 Uicheon-ro) will maintain a 24-hour emergency room system by designating and operating on-duty specialists in various medical fields. In addition, four hospitals, 156 clinics, and 75 pharmacies will remain open to prepare for emergency patients. Detailed information on open hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies can be found on the emergency medical portal E-GEN.
The district is also preparing for various hazardous situations that may threaten residents' safety. Safety inspections will be conducted on river flood control facilities, infrastructure, construction sites, gas facilities, and multi-use facilities such as traditional markets and large retail marts where visitor numbers are expected to increase. Furthermore, to promptly respond to various civil complaints during the holiday, sector-specific response teams and a 24-hour comprehensive situation room will be operated. The district has already reviewed the response system for potential emergencies during the holiday period.
Efforts will also be made to stabilize prices. A price control situation room for Chuseok will be operated to monitor and manage the price trends of holiday seasonal goods. Price checks on major Chuseok items will be conducted at six traditional markets and 14 medium-to-large marts in the area. On September 11, Dobong-gu Mayor Oh Eon-seok will personally visit traditional markets to inspect holiday seasonal goods such as apples and pears and listen to merchants and residents regarding grocery prices. To revitalize traditional markets, a Chuseok event will be held, and temporary parking will be allowed on roads near Banghak-dong Dokkaebi Market, Chang-dong Sinchang Market, and Chang-dong Alley Market from September 7 to September 18.
The district will also do its best to implement livelihood measures. Cash and goods will be provided to vulnerable neighbors such as low-income residents, elderly living alone, and homeless people. A neighborhood Chuseok festival will be organized to share the generous spirit of the holiday. In particular, continuous child meal support will be provided during the holiday for children who have difficulty receiving meals due to the absence of guardians.
Various inconveniences for residents will also be minimized. For residents using public transportation, nine village bus routes (Dobong01~09) will be extended for two days, September 17 and 18, in connection with the subway and city buses.
Additionally, to reduce inconvenience caused by the temporary suspension of household waste collection from September 15 to 17, all waste disposed of before the holiday will be collected. Special collection of household, recyclable, and food waste will be conducted on September 18 (from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.). During the holiday, a cleaning situation room and patrol task force will be operated to promptly respond to cleaning complaints.
Dobong-gu Mayor Oh Eon-seok said, "We will do our best to implement sector-specific measures so that residents can have a safe and comfortable Chuseok holiday. In particular, we will strengthen the emergency medical system to minimize residents' inconvenience caused by medical service gaps."
