Trump: "Possibility of Election Fraud in This Election... Will Punish Strongly"

On the 7th (local time), Trump posted on Truth Social, "I am closely monitoring the sanctity of this election with many lawyers and legal scholars," claiming, "Because I know better than anyone the widespread fraud and deception committed by the Democrats in the 2020 election."

He continued, "It was a disgrace to our country. Therefore, I will scrutinize the 2024 election, which has just begun voting, most thoroughly, and if I win, those who committed fraud will be prosecuted to the fullest extent allowed by law."

He added, "This includes long prison sentences, which will ensure that justice is never corrupted again." He also warned, "Note that these legal measures will extend to lawyers, political figures, donors, fraudulent voters, and corrupt election officials," and said, "Those involved in immoral behavior will be identified, exposed, and prosecuted at an unprecedented level in our country."

Former President Trump emphasized, "We can no longer stand by as our country deteriorates into a third-world nation."

In this regard, the U.S. Washington Post (WP) pointed out, "Trump's remarks, which contrast sharply with the reality that illegal voting is extremely rare, appear to be an effort to sow doubt about the 2020 election voting process, ultimately leading to a repeat of actions that resulted in a violent attack on Congress."
