President Yoon stated, "Our team exceeded the goal with a total of 30 medals, including 6 gold medals at this competition," and added, "Athlete Jeong Ho-won achieved the remarkable feat of winning South Korea's 10th consecutive gold medal in boccia, and table tennis player Kim Young-geon won his fifth gold medal in his career."
He continued, "The outstanding performances of shooter Park Jin-ho, who won two gold medals, and table tennis player Kim Ki-tae were also remarkable," emphasizing, "The determination of triathlete Kim Hwang-tae, who completed the men's triathlon, and the legendary runs of track and field athletes Jeon Min-jae and Yoo Byung-hoon gave the public an incomparable inspiration."
He further explained, "Athlete Kwon Hyo-kyung, who won a silver medal in wheelchair fencing for the first time in 36 years, canoeist Choi Yong-beom, who advanced to the finals for the first time in South Korea, and goalball, which reached the quarterfinals for the first time in 28 years, each match was a touching drama."
President Yoon added, "Once again, I send a big round of applause to all our athletes," and said, "We will work hard to support and cheer you on so that you can challenge yourselves even more vigorously. Team Korea's dream will come true."
