Operation of Emergency Situation Rooms at Each Public Health Center
Establishing Channels with Medical Institutions, Doctors, and Pharmacist Associations
Gyeonggi-do Yongin City announced on the 9th that it will operate an emergency medical system from the 14th to the 18th in preparation for emergency medical situations during the Chuseok holiday period.
During this period, the Cheoin, Giheung, and Suji District Health Centers will maintain a close cooperation system through communication channels with emergency medical centers and institutions in the area, and plan to share information with the Yongin Medical Association and the Pharmacists Association to prevent any gaps in medical care.
In particular, according to the emergency medical measures, Dabos Hospital, Gangnam Hospital, and Yongin Severance Hospital, which are emergency medical centers in the region, and Yongin Seoul Hospital, an emergency medical institution, will operate their emergency rooms 24 hours a day to maintain the emergency medical system. In addition, hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies will also open on designated dates.
For pediatric cases, Dalbit Children's Hospital (Giheung-gu Gangnam Hospital), which can provide pediatric and adolescent care for mild patients, is operating, and outpatient treatment is available from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. during the Chuseok holiday.
The health centers will also operate an emergency response situation room during the holiday period to respond quickly in case of emergencies. Notices will be posted at each medical institution and pharmacy during the holiday period to encourage informing local residents, and the operation status will be checked frequently and provided to citizens.
The city has also decided to maintain a constant monitoring system during the holiday period to respond to the recent increase in COVID-19 and infectious diseases.
The operation status of hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies during the Chuseok period can be checked on the 'Emergency Medical Information Center' website and the 'Yongin Special City Health Center' website. In addition, guidance can be received by phone from the Health and Welfare Call Center (129) and the Emergency Situation Management Center (119).
A health center official said, "We will maintain a cooperative system with medical institutions to quickly transport emergency patients to emergency rooms, and operate continuous quarantine activities and a constant monitoring system to prevent the spread of infectious diseases."
