26 Soccer Clubs Create a Spectacle of Unity Regardless of Win or Loss
Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam held the '15th Changwon Special Mayor's Cup Institutional, Corporate, and Recreational Soccer Tournament' for two days from the 7th to the 8th at five venues including Changwon Sports Park.
This tournament, hosted by the Changwon City Sports Council and organized by the Changwon City Football Association, featured a total of 26 teams (20 institutional and corporate teams, 6 senior and youth teams) with 650 participants competing in a full league and tournament format.
At the opening ceremony, Deputy Mayor Cho Myeongrae said, "I applaud all the players who have honed their skills through diligent self-management and training despite busy professional lives," adding, "I hope you achieve great results with excellent teamwork and further strengthen unity and friendship."
During the event, scholarships were awarded to four outstanding football players to encourage their growth into excellent athletes.
Meanwhile, Changwon City plans to do its utmost to expand sports facilities and support various sports activities so that citizens can enjoy exercising without inconvenience.
