90 Current and Former US CEOs Endorse Harris... "For the American Dream"

Over 100 Current and Former U.S. Law Enforcement Officials Also Support

About two months before the U.S. presidential election, over 90 corporate CEOs and more than 100 current and former law enforcement officials officially endorsed Democratic presidential candidate Vice President Kamala Harris.

According to major foreign media on the 6th (local time), current and former CEOs of over 90 companies announced their support for Vice President Harris in the upcoming November election through an open letter.

Among them are Mark Cuban, owner of the NBA's Dallas Mavericks and billionaire investor, James Murdoch, former CEO of 21st Century Fox, Lauren Powell Jobs, widow of the late Steve Jobs and head of Emerson Collective, as well as global pharmaceutical company Merck, insurance company Aetna, the world's largest domain management company GoDaddy, the world's largest private equity firm Blackstone, and former CEO of Starbucks.

In the open letter, they wrote, "Candidate Harris has a strong track record of advancing actions that promote business investment within the United States and enable American companies to be competitive in the global market." They added, "Candidate Harris will continue to advance fair and predictable policies that support the rule of law, stability, and a sound business environment, and will strive to provide all Americans with the opportunity to pursue the American Dream."

Vice President Harris, who is engaged in a fierce presidential race against Republican candidate former President Donald Trump, has announced economic pledges focusing on supporting new homebuyers, expanding housing supply, and regulating price increases by large food corporations. She also plans to raise the corporate tax rate from 21% to 28%.

On the other hand, former President Trump recently stated in a speech at the New York Economic Club that he would lower the corporate tax rate to 15% and appointed billionaire Tesla CEO Elon Musk as the head responsible for auditing the federal government's overall finances and performance. He also revealed plans to declare a national emergency to allow large-scale housing construction on public land and to remove regulations on energy development projects.

Goldman Sachs, in a report this week, forecasted that if former President Trump wins the election, increased tariffs on imports and stricter immigration policies would inevitably impact next year's gross domestic product (GDP). Conversely, if Vice President Harris is elected, the U.S. employment market is expected to remain strong, with GDP showing slight growth in terms of investment and growth.

Meanwhile, more than 100 current and former U.S. law enforcement officials also declared their support for candidate Harris on the same day. They expressed high regard for Vice President Harris's experience as Attorney General and her commitment to curbing gun violence. They criticized Republican candidate Trump’s pledge to cut law enforcement budgets, his criminal record, and his promise to pardon those charged in the 2021 U.S. Capitol takeover.

They emphasized, "Trump has repeatedly shown a lack of respect for law enforcement and the rule of law," adding, "He fosters disorder that endangers both law enforcement and the American people."
