"Passenger Plane Safely Lands on the River"
A low-cost carrier (LCC) passenger plane from Singapore heading to China encountered turbulence, injuring seven people.
According to local media The Straits Times on the 7th, the Singapore Scoot Airlines flight TR100, a Boeing 787-9 bound for Guangzhou, China, encountered turbulence the previous morning, resulting in seven injuries. The injured included four passengers and three crew members, with one person being transported to a hospital for inpatient treatment.
The airline stated that turbulence occurred while approaching Guangzhou, but the aircraft landed safely.
According to the flight tracking site FlightRadar24, the aircraft was flying at an altitude of 35,000 feet (approximately 11 km) when it suddenly dropped about 25 feet (approximately 8 m) before regaining its original altitude.
Recently, turbulence incidents have been occurring frequently in various locations. In May, a Singapore Airlines flight from London to Singapore encountered turbulence and made an emergency landing, resulting in one death and 85 injuries. In July, a Spanish Air Europa flight heading to Uruguay encountered turbulence, injuring about 30 people.
Earlier this month, on the 5th, a Turkish Airlines flight to Taiwan hit turbulence, injuring seven people. On the 4th, a Japan Airlines (JAL) flight flying over South Korea experienced severe shaking, causing a crew member to suffer a fracture.
