Guro District (District Mayor Moon Heon-il) held the "2nd Korea Digital Awards GURO Drawing and Webtoon Contest Awards Ceremony" on the 6th at the G-Valley Biz Plaza L Convention.
The district invited submissions in two categories, drawing and webtoon, from elementary school students in the area, focusing on themes such as the future of Guro transformed by advanced technology and the 60-year history of the industrial complex evolving from Guro Industrial Complex to a digital complex.
As a result of the contest, one grand prize winner, two excellence award winners, seven merit award winners, and 45 honorable mentions were selected in the drawing category; and one grand prize winner, one excellence award winner, three merit award winners, and five honorable mentions were selected in the webtoon category.
At the awards ceremony, Guro District Mayor Moon Heon-il congratulated the total of 65 awardees and presented plaques and certificates.
Mayor Moon Heon-il said, "I hope this contest will bring out the protagonists who will realize the future of Guro imagined by children," and added, "I hope this will be an opportunity for our district to take pride and nurture dreams of future technology."
Additionally, Guro District plans to exhibit the award-winning works at the G-Valley Industrial Museum from the 10th to the 21st.
