From the 13th, Sekwang Church and Hanguk Millal Mission Bundang Center Parking Lots Open Free to the Public
Seongnam City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Shin Sang-jin) announced on the 6th that starting from the 13th, it will open 25 parking spaces at Sekwang Church and 10 parking spaces at the affiliated parking lot of the Korea Milal Mission Bundang Mission Center to the general public free of charge to alleviate parking difficulties in urban areas.
This parking lot opening is part of the city's parking lot sharing project aimed at resolving parking shortages in densely populated residential areas.
The parking lot sharing project involves opening idle parking spaces of religious facilities, office buildings, and commercial establishments to residents through agreements between building owners and local governments.
Sekwang Church (located in Dochon-dong, Jungwon-gu) will open 25 parking spaces free of charge to the general public on weekdays from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., excluding Saturdays and Sundays.
The parking lot of the Korea Milal Mission Bundang Mission Center, which will be open to the general public starting from the 13th. The Korea Milal Mission Bundang Mission Center (located in Jeongja 3-dong, Bundang-gu) will open 10 parking spaces in its affiliated parking lot free of charge to pre-registered vehicles from 8:30 p.m. to 8 a.m. the next day, except on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Citizens who wish to use the affiliated parking lot of the Korea Milal Mission Bundang Mission Center can register in person on a first-come, first-served basis from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on September 10 and 11.
The city provides benefits such as facility improvement costs up to 30 million KRW and insurance premiums for liability insurance according to the number of open parking spaces for parking lots participating in the sharing project.
Currently, Seongnam City is operating the shared parking lot project, opening a total of 890 parking spaces at 14 locations within the city to citizens.
A Seongnam City official stated, “We will continue to promote the shared parking lot project and strive to alleviate parking difficulties for citizens living in densely populated urban areas.”
