National Pukyong University (President: Jang Youngsoo) has been selected as the grand prize-winning institution at the '2024 Nationally Accredited Human Resources Development Consortium Best of CHAMP Day Best Practice Contest.'

The Regional Industry Customized Workforce Development Project Group at National Pukyong University (Director: Oh Junghwan) received the grand prize (Minister of Employment and Labor Award) in the Joint Training Center category at this best practice contest hosted by the Human Resources Development Service of Korea. The prize money is 5 million KRW.
The Human Resources Development Service of Korea conducted this best practice contest to discover and share outstanding cases among institutions and stakeholders participating in the National Human Resources Development Consortium Project, and to promote the expansion and qualitative growth of the project. The awards ceremony was held at the '2024 Best of CHAMP DAY' event at Alpensia Resort in Pyeongchang, Gangwon Province, on September 5.
National Pukyong University won the grand prize in the regional industry customized joint training center category. Since implementing the National Human Resources Development Consortium Project in 2010, and reorganizing it into a regional industry customized program in 2015, the university has been recognized for its achievements in providing education to enhance job competencies of employees at companies and fostering field-oriented, industry-specific talent in the region.
In particular, the university was highly praised for developing and operating programs that reflect corporate demand, such as ▲ IoT System Developer Training based on Windows Platform ▲ Big Data-based AI Developer Program ▲ JAVA Developer Program utilizing Big Data, as well as for operating learning clubs to increase employment success rates.
Prior to this event, National Pukyong University was also selected as the top institution at the 2023 Performance Evaluation Awards held on September 4.
Project Group Director Oh Junghwan said, "As our efforts to foster customized talent for regional industrial development have been recognized, we will continue to strive to further advance the quality of our educational programs for a better future for the region, companies, and trainees."
