'LH-Paju Garden' Held from 26 to 28
Mayor Kim Kyung-il: "Convenience Facilities Development Will Proceed Smoothly to Align with GTX Opening Scheduled for Year-End"
Gyeonggi Paju City and Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) announced on the 6th that they will hold the public garden expo 'LH-Paju Garden' at Unjeong Central Park near Cheongnyongducheon from the 26th to the 28th.
Paju City and Korea Land and Housing Corporation signed a business agreement last November to successfully hold the Paju Unjeong 3 District public garden expo and have been preparing by forming a specialized team (TF).
This expo will take place throughout Unjeong Central Park (waterside park), which spans 90,000㎡.
Additionally, various water features such as ground fountains, wave ponds, and musical fountains, as well as specially designed architectural structures like the park facility annex building (Botanic Pavilion), will be arranged to create a more beautiful and safe park even at night when the lighting is turned on.
From Unjeong Maru Hill located at the center of the park, visitors can take in the waterside park along Cheongnyongducheon and the wide lawn yard at a glance.
Moreover, 22 garden sections themed 'City's Color, Breath, Life' will be created with the participation of students, citizens, invited and contest artists.
Various programs involving citizens will also be held, including an opening ceremony celebration performance, a garden walking stamp tour, and activities such as finding plants and memories.
Kim Kyung-il, Mayor of Paju City, said, “We will make every effort to prepare the expo so that families, friends, and couples can fully enjoy the autumn atmosphere in the garden,” and added, “We will also proceed without delay in creating various convenience facilities in line with the scheduled opening of the Metropolitan Area Express Train (GTX) at the end of this year.”
