A HYBE representative explained, "It is rare for both the headquarters and a subsidiary to be recognized simultaneously among domestic entertainment companies. We were highly evaluated for creating quality jobs in the entertainment and IT sectors."
The 'Korea’s Top Job Creation Companies' initiative was established to foster a social atmosphere that highly values companies playing a leading role in job creation and improving job quality. Since 2010, the Ministry of Employment and Labor has selected and announced 100 top job creation companies annually.
Considering the rapidly changing nature of the entertainment industry, HYBE respects the working styles of its members and operates a wide range of welfare programs to enable continuous innovation across various music-based businesses.
The current welfare programs include a flexible working hours system that allows employees to freely adjust their commuting times within a set monthly working hour limit, and an unlimited annual leave system that permits taking more paid leave days than those guaranteed by labor standards law. HYBE also operates childcare support programs exceeding legal standards, such as maternity leave with 100% salary paid for up to six months and parental leave with 50% salary paid for up to one year per child.
Additionally, HYBE runs an in-house clinic staffed with specialists and nurses and provides professional psychological counseling services, leading efforts to create a healthy working environment. High-quality rest and welfare facilities such as an in-house caf?, cafeteria, and fitness center have also been established.
Furthermore, HYBE continuously expands jobs by contributing to job diversity in the entertainment industry and investing in the development of in-house content production and future businesses. As of 2023, the total number of members across HYBE and its affiliated labels (corporations) increased by approximately 34.4% compared to the previous year.
Weverse Company was highly praised for its commitment to employing female workers despite being in the IT sector, which typically has a high proportion of male employees. The overall proportion of female employees at Weverse Company is 56%, and among the new hires made last year to expand services, 68% were women.
Weverse Company operates maternity and parental leave systems at the same level as HYBE and creates an environment where female employees do not experience career interruptions by allowing reduced working hours during pregnancy and childcare periods and encouraging parental leave. In cases of urgent childcare needs, employees can increase their work-from-home days, and a purchase subsidy of 500,000 KRW is provided to enhance concentration and productivity during remote work.
Moreover, to improve the job skills of all members and expand their global experience, Weverse Company supports all expenses for about 20 employees annually to participate in prestigious overseas conferences.
HYBE stated, "We are continuously improving welfare programs and working environments to actively recruit talent. As a global entertainment company, we will contribute to creating quality jobs by pursuing various innovations while promoting work-life balance."
Weverse Company said, "We are expanding various systems that allow work and family life to coexist so that employees can continue working without career interruptions. We will continue to do our best to help members develop their job skills and foster a good organizational culture."
