CU Launches Fresh Cheonggyul Highball & Cheonggyul Ice Cup

CU, operated by BGF Retail, has released a fresh Cheonggyul highball and Cheonggyul ice cup containing Jeju-grown Cheonggyul slices. The 'Fresh Cheonggyul Highball' (4,500 KRW) is launched in a mojito cocktail style emphasizing the unique taste of Cheonggyul. It features a harmonious blend of mojito’s mint aroma and Cheonggyul’s citrus scent. It is a low-alcohol drink (4.5%) that is light and easy to enjoy. They also introduced the 'Big Ball Cheonggyul Ice Cup' (1,500 KRW), made by putting fruit pieces into an ice cup. This is a follow-up to the Big Ball Lemon Ice Cup, which was first launched in the industry last July. The ice is made by shaving a single block of ice and adding Cheonggyul slices, allowing consumers to mix it with various alcoholic beverages and drinks according to their preference. To celebrate the launch of the Fresh Cheonggyul Highball, CU is also running a discount promotion this month where customers can purchase 3 cans for 12,000 KRW.

Homeplus announced that it will exclusively sell the new product 'Haechang 10 Degree Plus' (900 ml) Makgeolli in collaboration with Haechang Brewery. Haechang Makgeolli is the flagship Makgeolli brand of Haechang Brewery, known for its premium Makgeolli. Haechang 10 Degree Plus delivers a rich body, deep flavor, and the natural sweetness of glutinous rice. The volume is also generous at 900 ml, larger than typical Makgeolli bottles. It is notable for its alcohol content of 10 degrees, which is rare for Makgeolli, and for not containing the artificial sweetener aspartame.

Paris Baguette introduced the 'Soft Morning Roll,' which does not use butter, eggs, or milk. Despite excluding butter, eggs, and milk, this product retains the mild taste and moist texture of a morning roll. Additionally, raisins are added to enhance nutrition and flavor, making it suitable as a breakfast substitute or snack. A Paris Baguette representative explained, "We launched the Soft Morning Roll without dairy and eggs so that more customers can enjoy the morning roll, which is loved for its mild taste and soft texture, without any burden."

Ediya Coffee has launched three autumn season beverages. The new products include ▲Pear Quince Tea ▲Persimmon Floating Sujeonggwa ▲Black Sesame Cream Latte. The Pear Quince Tea is a blended tea beverage using seasonal fruits such as pear, apple, and quince. The Persimmon Floating Sujeonggwa adds persimmon and jujube chips as toppings to the Sujeonggwa base. The Black Sesame Cream Latte is a smooth-flavored drink combining savory black sesame with sweet cream, re-released as one of Ediya Coffee’s seasonal best menus. The three autumn season beverages are available in regular and extra sizes, with options for both hot and cold drinks.
