Watch Movies Twice a Month for 10,000 KRW by Becoming KakaoTalk Friends with Bucheon City

Bucheon City in Gyeonggi Province is strengthening its municipal promotion through social media and is promoting a movie ticket discount project for KakaoTalk channel friends to help citizens' cultural activities lead to the revitalization of the local economy.


The city announced that starting from the 6th, it will offer special discount benefits to Bucheon City KakaoTalk friends in accordance with the partnership discount agreement signed last month with Lotte Cultureworks.

Citizens who add the Bucheon City KakaoTalk channel as a friend can watch movies twice a month for 10,000 KRW at four Lotte Cinema locations: Bucheon Branch (Sinjung-dong), Bupyeong Branch, Bupyeong Station Branch, and Bupyeong Galsan Branch. One accompanying person also receives the same price benefit.


Additionally, when purchasing a popcorn combo at the concession stand, a discount of 2,000 KRW is provided. This offer is available on all days, including weekdays, weekends, and public holidays.


For group viewings of 10 or more people, the movie ticket price is discounted to 9,000 KRW, and the concession stand group combo set is also available at a discounted price of 5,000 KRW. Coupons can be downloaded from the Bucheon City KakaoTalk channel home screen and used when booking through the Lotte Cinema app or website.


The Bucheon City KakaoTalk channel currently has 220,000 members, and many citizens receive various information and benefits from the city through this channel.


A Bucheon City official stated, "We hope that the agreement with Lotte Cultureworks will activate the city’s KakaoTalk channel and become a driving force to revitalize the local economy," adding, "As the need for diverse and efficient promotion and delivery of municipal news based on social media grows, we will continue to cooperate with the private sector so that citizens can access more diverse information and benefits."
